About

Every note is an ordinary text file you can see and carry with you. Markdown, MDX, and plain text are supported; folders are notebooks, and moving, backing up, and versioning follow familiar file rules. Even without JotLuck, any text editor can read these notes.

Search and backlinks connect ideas: return to the source from a keyword, or see who references the current note—no complex database to maintain. When you finish, the same Markdown exports to PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, TXT, and HTML—six common formats—ready for sharing and delivery.

The interface has only three areas: find notes on the left, focus on writing in the middle, and inspect outlines, backlinks, and tags on the right. Structure stays out of nested menus, so your eyes never have to leave the text.

There is no system to set up first: choose an existing folder as your notebook, write in familiar Markdown, find context again with full-text search, tags, and backlinks, start recurring notes from built-in or custom templates, then export for each delivery context. Your original files always remain.

The app UI is available in Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and French.

Text completion

JotLuck ships with a small completion model we trained ourselves: Chinese and English are supported, it works out of the box, and it runs entirely on your machine.

Finish a sentence, and a word may appear quietly after the cursor. If it fits, press Tab to keep it; if not, keep writing — it stays out of your way.

It also learns dynamically — as you work together, completion adapts to your habitual wording.

You can turn it on or off in Settings at any time.
